We offer overnight boarding options to provide our patients with a home away from home.
We treat your pets like our family
We understand that it can be stressful to leave your pet - especially if they are ill, or when they are recovering from a procedure or surgery.
At Westport Veterinary Associates, we want to help put your mind at ease. We provide complete boarding services for the pets of our Fairfield County clients.
Your pet will be supervised by our expert veterinarians and nurses, who will administer medications and watch over them closely, caring for any medical issues that may arise.
Boarding: A Typical Day
Dogs
Each morning, the dogs head outside for fresh air before breakfast. While they're outside, the kennels are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with fresh linens.
Depending on your dog's physical capacity and ability, we have play time after breakfast. Our staff supervise this outside social time. If it's wet and rainy out, your dog will be able to play indoors in a dedicated area, so he or she can still get appropriate exercise.
Your dog will also have supervision throughout their entire stay – both during play and while they rest.
In the evening, dinner is served, and then we take one last walk before bedtime.
Cats
Our staff care for all our feline guests with love. Your cat will receive food and medication according to your specifications and their requirements, ensuring their routine is the same as it is at home.
We provide daily one-on-one interaction with kitties (who want it!) including play, snuggles, and pets. Litter boxes are checked, cleaned and disinfected periodically throughout each day.
We also refresh linens and clean your cat's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area, helping your kitty to feel relaxed and safe while they stay with us.
